I have no recollection of buying this strange yarn. It has a definite mustard look in the skein, but as I was knitting, I assumed that someone might have thought it looked like camo. At the end, it simply reminds me of bees...

ugly yarn, uglier socks

When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary to reach into the very bottom of the sock wool storage, you may come upon a yarn you can't remember buying, which is truly, truly ugly -  uglier in the knitted product than it is even in the skein - and then, when you are knitting it up, you may find that a co-worker says she thinks it is pretty.  So guess what happens?  The ugly yarn gets uglier when it pools differently in the second sock. You knit even faster, so that you won't have to look at the socks any more, and then you place them in a small bag, and give them to her. pale pink, pale blue, pale green, and purple...
