  again, I modified the lace to make the pattern a mirror image

 The colors are off - the tag is actually white, so the yarn is very much more red.

  I have had a quilt magazine from the year 2000, turned to the page of this quilt pattern, sitting in my office for years. I finally went to the Thistle (fabric store, Pierce City MO) and picked out these fabrics, and came home and sewed it up ! It's to as beautiful as the original, but those fabrics are LONG gone. Every seam in the block is curved - 16 blocks, 7 of which are just background. I'll quilt it someday!

Just as I perfected my tee pattern, nd preceded to make dozens of tees that actually fit me, I have now perfected my woven shirt with  gathers (or pleats) and convertible collar, and proceeded to make several. The lower left is a v-neck button-front with darts that is not quite perfected yet.  Note: all pictures in each group were taken the same day, and with the same light. Yet if you compare the colors of the door, you can see wide variations in yellowness.
